 Amphibolite

Classification:Metamorphic Rock

A common metamorphic rock composed of amphibole and plagioclase.

Amphibolite metamorphic rocks with common amphibole content greater than 85%. Besides common hornblende, rocks contain a small amount of augite, garnet, Xie Changshi, quartz and so on. Generally, it has coarse coarse fibrous texture and massive structure. Sometimes it is flaky, and it can be called flaky Amphibolite. It is mainly a product of intermediate metamorphism of ultrabasic rocks.

It is mainly a product of ultramafic metamorphism through ultrabasic rocks.
