 Diabase

Classification:Igneous Rock

A dark igneous rock, similar to gabbro and basalt, has two structures.

Diabase is an elementary intruding invasion of Iwa Ishi. Some people are also known as Diabase with greenish structure basic lavas or subvolcanic rocks. The main minerals are pyroxene and basic plagioclase, but also a small amount of olivine, biotite, quartz, apatite, magnetite, ilmenite and so on. The mafic pyroxene significantly more euhedral, often constitute diabase. Black. According to the difference of secondary minerals, it is further divided into olive Diabase, quartz Diabase and so on. The constant pitting of the basic plagioclase is changed into albite, xenite, epidote and other mineral aggregates and kaolinite. The pyroxene often changes into chlorite, hornblende, carbonate and so on. A shallow intrusive body, such as sills and dykes, volcano neck etc.. Diabase is made of stone material. The cast stone made of Diabase is called Diabase cast stone. It is a material with high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Interpretation:
Diabase refers to the basic intrusive rocks. The mineral composition is similar to gabbro. The Diabase with a greenish structure and a porphyritic structure is called pyroxene, and the rocks are dark green or black. The basic plagioclase and pyroxene are easy to change, and the former often changes into albite, quartz, xenite and epidote, and the latter often changes into chlorite, hornblende, carbonate and so on. Often, the bed wall formed the bedrock. Diabase is the main raw material of stone, with its stone manufacturing as raw materials, is an important wear resistance and corrosion resistance of industrial materials.

Composition and characteristics:
It is mainly composed of pyroxene and basic feldspar (which is equivalent to gabbro), containing a small amount of olivine, biotite, quartz, apatite, magnetite, ilmenite and so on. Basic plagioclase often changes to albite, diorite, epidote and kaolinite, and pyroxene often changes to chlorite, hornblende and carbonate minerals. The whole is greyish green because of the color of the chlorite.
The Diabase is similar to the gabbro, but it is relatively shallow, not as deep as the gabbro, so it has smaller granularity and is not like basalt, which is sprayed out of the surface and is mainly vitreous.
According to the difference of secondary minerals, it can be divided into olive Diabase, quartz Diabase, zeolite and orthosite, and so on. It is called alkaline Diabase.

Production:
It is generally believed that Diabase is a deep source basaltic magma intruding into the shallow crust and crystallizing into the crust. It often presents rock veins, rock walls, rock beds or filling in the basalt Fire Mountain. But Diabase also often appears in the orogenic belt.

Use:
Diabase is an upper class building material. Such as "Luodian green" in Guizhou, "malachite green" in Zhejiang on the sea, "five dragon green" in Henan, "chrysanthemum green", "Taibai green" in Shanxi and "North Yue black".
1. The good asphalt concrete on the road is crushed with gravel.
2. Powder for chemical viscose
3, according to the difference of secondary minerals, it can be divided into olive Diabase, quartz Diabase and so on. As a building stone or stone craft, is a stone material. Those who have homogeneous texture and no cracks can make stone material, and fine grain is better.
4, for all kinds of equipment lining and various types of components, such as joints, bushings, grates and so on.
